Amazon.com Product Description
Equipped with a powerful 12 amp motor, this easy-to-use machine cleans carpets by applying, scrubbing, and removing hot tap water and cleaning solution. The unit's wide path provides 20-percent more brushing and cleaning action, while its heated cleaning forces hot air from the motor directly into the carpet, making the solution and brushes work more efficiently. The cleaner's Dual V technology produces equal suction across the entire cleaning path and removes more water than any other brand. Patented SpinScrub rotating brushes gently loosen dirt and clean all sides of the carpet fiber, plus they pop out for rinsing clean as needed. Choose from three speeds for a variety of cleaning tasks--spill pick-up mode, gentle scrub mode, or power scrub mode. On-board tools include an 8-foot hose for long reach, a removable tool caddy for easy storage, and a SpinScrub powered handheld tool for upholstery and stairs. The carpet cleaner measures approximately 20 by 12 by 44 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Customer Reviews

Works Great5
I saw the product at a retailer, then saw it priced less on Amazon (plus no tax or shipping), so I said what the heck, try it. I have a medium-tan carpet and two dogs and two cats. The cleaner was easy to assemble. All you need is a phillips screw driver. I'm not to swift at using carpet cleaners, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to use and it REALLY WORKED!

One of the attractive features is the large waste tank. It allows you to cover allot of area before stopping to empty it. Also, the vacuum really sucks up the water/cleaner solution in the carpet, the carpet dried really fast. I wouldn't hesitate using it the same day if I were hosting a family get together. I highly recommend this SteamVac.

Does what it is suppose to do - Suck Up Water5
I tried a Bissell and was very unhappy with the results. A good carpet cleaner should put down the chemical and then suck up as much water as possible. The bissell would put down the water but would hardly suck anything up. I went and got this Hoover and was very impressed with the sucking ability. I also like how there is a separate tank for clean water and another tank for dirty water. I can actually see how much dirty water there is. With the bissell, they use the same tank using a bladder for the clean water.. with that, you can't tell how much dirty vs clean water you have.

Overall, this is a good price for what you get and I would suggest the Hoover over the Bissell.

Great Steamer Vac!5
I've owned this Steamer for a month now, before this the only other steamer I have used was a 15 year old Bissel. I have used it 3 times, and I have to say, I love this thing! It did a great job on my 5 year old high traffic carpet. I did not have any stains or anything, but it really made the carpet stand up again, and it made a noticable difference. This steamer is super easy to use, both tanks can be removed easily and quickly, with no mess. The rotating brushes pop off easily for cleaning. Removing hair or whatever doesn't go into the tank is also very easily removed. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially for the price. With the exception of adding water, this is almost as easy to use as a regular vacuum cleaner.
